Smoking Policy

Alaska Pacific University complies fully with Anchorage municipal ordinances prohibiting smoking in all campus buildings. Smoking is also prohibited in University owned vehicles and within 50 feet of the entrances to the Moseley Center, Grant Hall, Carr Gottstein Academic Center, and the Atwood buildings. Smoking is also restricted in the Atwood Courtyard as intake vents in the courtyard provide the air supply to the interior of Atwood Center. Designated smoking areas are located adjacent at the Carr Gottstein, and Atwood buildings.

Designated smoking areas:

Carr Gottstein: West end of the building near bike racks (farthest away from main doors)
Atwood Center: Back of Atwood Center near the building exhaust vent.
