Room Selection

Each returning student wishing to live on campus the following year must participate in the Room Selection Process that takes place each Spring. This process is designed to give priority to students who have lived on campus the most amount of time. To ensure a more diverse community, spaces for incoming students are reserved after the same-room sign-up process.

Room Selection for Spring 2007:

Stage I Theme & Segelhorst Applications due Friday, March 30, 2007
University Village & Segelhorst assignments posted April 4, 2007

Knowing the University Village & the new Segelhorst Apartments are likely the most popular place to live, we will begin the selection process with those units. Those wishing to live in the Village must first turn in an application to live there, and priority this year will go towards the Theme Housing applicants. Applications for both areas can be picked up at the Residence Life office, or downloaded online. From those applications students will be selected based on class, age, conduct record, and involvement with the Residence Life program. Older, well behaved, involved students will receive priority. Some rooms in the Village will be designated as "doubles only".

Stage II April 5-6, 2007

The second stage for room selection will be for students in North Atwood who would like to continue to live in their same room. Those students can come by the Residence Life Office and reserve their room for next year. All you need to do is fill out a contract. If you don’t come in by the beginning of stage three, your room is "fair game" for everyone else.

Stage III April 9, 2007 through the end of the school year.

Stage three will be for student wanting a room in North Atwood other than their current room. All you have to do is stop by the Residence Life Office, pick a room on the floor plan, and fill out a contract. This will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you do that, the room is yours. As with the University Village, some rooms will be designated as "doubles only" rooms and you will more than likely have a roommate if you pick that room.
